for this moment: Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab. The location of Tishbe is uncertain, and there is much we do not know about this man. His name was significant because it conveyed his message. Elijah means “my God is Yahweh,” a name that shouted defiance to Ahab while declaring allegiance to the Lord.
